Liquid Penetrant Inspection

Liquid Penetrant Inspection
This method is used to detect defects such as surface cracks, pores and combustion troughs. It can be applied day or night depending on the material type. These methods are called day and fluorescent test types.

Penetrant applied to the surface penetrates the imperfections. After waiting for the required time, the penetrant liquid surface is washed. Thanks to the developer applied to the clean surface, the imperfections are visible. These points are called indications. The acceptance criterion determines whether the indication is acceptable or unacceptable.

Our operators have at least Level II certificates in accordance with EN 9712 or ASNT SNT-TC-1A. Upon your request, the Liquid Penetrant Inspection procedure is prepared by our Level III personnel.
