Magnetic Particle Inspection

Magnetic Particle Inspection
This method is used to detect cracks on or just below the ferromagnetic test surface. A magnetic current is sent to the metal. A leak is seen where there are discontinuities. During spraying, the metal surface attracts iron powder. The length of the defects can be determined very precisely. This method can be applied day or night, depending on the material. This method is called the contrast and fluorescence test type. Fluorescent particles can be used when maximum sensitivity is required.

Our operators have at least Level II certificates in accordance with EN 9712 or ASNT SNT-TC-1A. Upon your request, the Magnetic Particle Test procedure is prepared by Level III personnel.
